Springfield Inc. Introduces Ladder Rest

LADDER REST

ORLANDO, FLORIDA — The Loews Royal Pacific Resort in Orlando, Florida played host to the 2017 Duro-Last Roofing National Sales Seminar and Awards Banquet, where contractors from across the country gathered to celebrate a year of achievement in commercial roofing. Among them was Springfield Inc., a longtime recipient of Duro-Last quality contractor and sales volume awards, which climbed another rung on the ladder to success — this time not for an installation achievement, but for an invention born out of its own commitment to jobsite safety: the Ladder Rest.

A Safety Innovation Born on the Jobsite

The Ladder Rest is a recently patented device that attaches directly to a roof, securing a ladder in place and making it virtually impossible for it to slip or fall. Springfield Inc. developed the product internally, driven by a simple goal: protecting its own crews from one of the most common and preventable hazards in the roofing industry — ladder slippage.

Duro-Last Roofing, known throughout the industry as a progressive roofing manufacturer and supplier, first took notice of the Ladder Rest during routine rooftop inspections of Springfield Inc.’s installations. Impressed by the device’s simplicity and effectiveness, Duro-Last selected it as a featured product at the 2017 National Sales Seminar, putting Springfield Inc.’s homegrown safety solution in front of top contractors from across the Duro-Last network.

“We are honored and pleased that the Ladder Rest was selected as a featured product for the 2017 Sales Seminar,” said Nick Jacqmain, President of Springfield Inc. “We love partnering with Duro-Last to help keep workers safe.”

From Internal Solution to Industry Recognition

What began as an in-house safety measure for Springfield Inc.’s own roofing crews has grown into a product recognized on a national stage. The Ladder Rest reflects a broader philosophy at Springfield Inc.: that the same quality and attention to detail the company brings to every roof installation should extend to the safety of the people doing the work.

The recognition at the Duro-Last National Sales Seminar adds to a growing list of honors for Springfield Inc., which has built its reputation over decades as one of Duro-Last’s top-performing authorized contractors — previously recognized with the Platinum Contractor Award and the John R. Burt Award for excellence in workmanship, customer satisfaction, and sales performance.
